Transforming Global Challenges into Opportunities: Global Economic and Business Management Challenges in a Transforming World: An Interdisciplinary Perspective

Győr, Hungary – September 30 - October 2, 2026

Aim and Scope

The Kautz Conference on Business and Economics aims to serve as an international academic forum for scholars, early-career researchers, industry experts, and policy actors to exchange knowledge and critically examine the economic, managerial, and institutional transformations shaping contemporary societies. The conference provides a platform for advancing interdisciplinary dialogue on how businesses, economies, and governance systems respond to global uncertainty, technological change, sustainability pressures, and evolving socio-economic contexts.
By bringing together diverse theoretical perspectives and empirical insights, the conference seeks to foster high-quality academic debate while encouraging the integration of research findings into business practice and public policy.
The conference welcomes original research contributions across a broad spectrum of business and economic disciplines. Particular emphasis is placed on topics related to:

  • business and economic transformation in a global and regional context,
  • entrepreneurship, innovation, and entrepreneurial ecosystems,
  • digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies in business and society,
  • sustainability, responsible management, and socio-economic development,
  • leadership, organizational change, and decision-making under uncertainty,
  • governance, institutions, geopolitics, and regional development,
  • supply chains, logistics, and value creation in a transforming global economy.

The conference encourages interdisciplinary, comparative, and practice-oriented research, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods studies, as well as systematic literature reviews and conceptual contributions.
