SCCS is the largest international conference in conservation science, where students and early career scientists are welcomed and have the chance to present their research, learn from each other and meet with experts of the field who can offer them guidance in their future careers. The Student Conference on Conservation Science series started in Cambridge and have expanded with Brisbane, Beijing and New York. In 2015, Hungary joined this inspiring event and organized a conference, especially for young scientists from all around Europe to build a network among the presented parts of the continent.
We are delighted to invite you to the second SCCS Hungary in 2016, organised by the MTA Centre for Ecological Research. SCCS Hungary offers young conservationists the opportunity to meet renowned plenary speakers, to attend career-enriching trainings, workshops and field trips and to have fun at the largest lake in Central Europe, Lake Balaton in a student-friendly low price.
During the three conference days and the two excursions we aim to connect conservation biology students from all over Europe and beyond by providing a deeper insight into the different conservation science projects and topics of the attending countries, focusing particularly on their regional unique natural values, conservation problems, methods, and solutions.
