Signing ceremony: The President of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences visited MTA to sign the renewal of the bilateral agreement between the two academies
On 6 June 2024, Dr Tamás Freund, President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, received in his office Prof. Jūras Banys, President of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, who arrived in Budapest for a meeting of the EASAC Council (European Academies’ Science Advisory Council), for the signing of the renewed bilateral agreement between the two academies.
The two academies have maintained bilateral collaborations since 1989, and under the agreement, the two academies support each other in joint research mobility projects and individual visits.
