Leaders of MTA research network remain unified

On 17 January 2019, the leaders of the Academy’s research network, which employs five-thousand people, including three-thousand researchers, met with the President and other executives of the MTA.

The directors of ten research centres and five independent research institutes arrived at the Palace of the Academy on Thursday afternoon, having listened to the Minister of Innovation and Technology’s lecture on new Government ideas concerning RDI earlier that day.

The leaders appreciate being informed by ITM about its ideas, but they all agree that they will continue consulting the President, the General Secretary and other elected executives regarding the future of the research network. In turn, the directors are to inform their colleagues.

All the directors agreed that the 2019 audit of the research network of the Academy required by the Government should follow the principles unanimously accepted by the Scientific Presidential Committee of the Research Network (KTEB).
