Call 2 Announced for the Momentum MSCA Premium Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme
Following strong interest and a successful selection for the Programme’s first cohort of researchers – who will join Hungarian Lendület (Momentum) research groups from 2026 – the Momentum MSCA Programme now opens Call 2 for applications from excellent postdoctoral researchers worldwide.
The Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) is launching Call 2 of its Momentum MSCA Premium Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (hereinafter referred to as “Momentum MSCA Programme”) on 1 December 2025.
The Momentum MSCA Programme supports incoming researchers undertaking their projects within participating Lendület (Momentum) research groups hosted by Hungarian research institutions.
In addition to providing fellowships, the Programme offers a broad range of development opportunities, designed to enhance the versatility and employability of its fellows in both academia and beyond.
The call is open for applications, with the aim of selecting and supporting 16 to 18 fellows. Fellowships will start on one of three fixed dates: 1 September 2026, 1 October 2026, or 1 November 2026. Fellowships are preferably 36 months in duration (minimum 12 months) and include a mandatory international secondment.
The Momentum MSCA Programme is co-funded by the European Commission, through the Research Executive Agency (REA), and the Secretariat of MTA, under Grant Agreement No. 101179854, within the framework of the HORIZON-MSCA-2023-COFUND-01 call.
Applications may be submitted until 31 January 2026, midnight (CET).
