Nobel prize winning chemist and honorary member of the Academy George Oláh has passed away

Mr. Oláh, who was one of the most influential chemists of the 20th century, died in his Beverly Hills home on the 8th March at the age of 90.

He was an honorary member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1994 for his contribution to carbocation chemistry. Academician István Hargittai wrote an editorial in honour of his life and lifetime work which is available here.
