Hungarian Academy of Sciences to support Fulbright scholarships
The signing of this significant bilateral agreement between the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Fulbright Commission serves to strengthen the scientific cooperation between American and Hungarian researchers.
The bilateral agreement signed by the president of MTA and the Fulbright Commission on 23 March, 2016 serves to strengthen the scientific cooperation between American and Hungarian researchers. The aim of this new agreement is to boost the number of Academy researchers who can attain this prestigious American grant. Furthermore, it will provide financial support for American researchers and educators working within the Academy research network. The Fulbright Program has been enjoying worldwide success for a long time now and has been present in Hungary for over 30 years as well. The cooperation has been expanding in the past couple of years and the agreement signed recently already applies to research applicants who have been working in the research network in 2016. There is no need to hand in a separate application as academy researchers who are interested in the joint program may apply by handing in their Fulbright applications.
