Rationale

Research security has become an increasingly prominent issue worldwide and within the European Union. The conference aims to present the European policy context of research security and good practices from leading European research-performing and research-funding organisations alongside emerging initiatives from Hungary. Our goal is to facilitate the development of domestic institutional frameworks. The event will also provide a forum for the Hungarian institutions most directly concerned to share their key perspectives and discuss common challenges.

The professional dialogue initiated by the organisers will help lay the foundations for the development of research security recommendations by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, which could subsequently provide guidance for research-performing and research-funding organisations in Hungary as they further develop their own research security policies and due diligence and mitigation practices.
