The tremendous amount of data and equipment of the Tier-0 infrastructure of the CERN will be hosted in the WIGNER Datacenter, providing Hungary with a unique advantage in information technology, science and economy.

Success and Responsibility - The 183rd General Assembly of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
2012.05.08.At the 183rd General Assembly of MTA the Academy's President József Pálinkás talked about the mission of scientific research, the success of the renewal of the institute network, and the responsibility of scientists in his address. On behalf of the government Deputy Prime-minister Tibor Navracsics expressed his will to support the reform of the Academy's institute network.

Following menopause, women's focus noticeably shifts from their husband to their children, especially their daughter(s), scientists maintain in their recently published article in Scientific Report. Among the authors are members of MTA János Kertész and László Barabási-Albert.

From Solar Panels to Quantum Computing

HUF 2bn Infrastructural Support for HAS’ Renewed Institute Network
2012.04.25.The President of the MTA announced the results of the applications for the largest infrastructural development in decades on April 23. Due to significantly increased government funding, the condition of the infrastructure of MTA’ most outstanding and competitive scientific workshops recently renewed will improve significantly this year.

Member of MTA Addresses EU Decision-makers

Joint Effort for Research Excellence
2012.04.14."Gaining back truly outstanding scientific minds and providing them with a competitive research environment are the true pre-conditions for achieving research excellence", MTA President József Pálinkás said in his talk delivered at the 10th Bolyai Workshop Conference.
