The President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences calls for applications to establish research teams from 2012 at MTA research centres and institutes as well as at Hungarian universities.

The HUF 1.25 bn, allocated for new Lendület projects in 2012, will allow funding of approximately 25-30 new Lendület research teams. MTA also secured another HUF 100 mn for a few world-renowned scientists to stay in Hungary for a stretch of 3 to 12 months each.

Depending on their respective age-groups and achievements, researchers with a scientific degree are invited to submit applications to head new Lendület research teams in the three categories below:

Lendület I - Those at the outset of their independent research careers

Lendület II - Those whose independent research careers are in progress

Lendület III - Those whose frontline research careers are extremely successful
